Mass start of the Friends on the 4th 5K (2008) in Winthrop.

Hundreds of runners, joggers, and walkers churn away at the start of last year's Friends on the 4th 5K in Winthrop. Held annually on Independence Day, this foot race is organized by the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed.

Cobbossee Stream Watershed Survey Conducted

The Cobbosee Stream watershed received a thorough eyeing-over last week when five teams of trained surveyors completed an extensive survey of the watershed in Richmond, Litchfield, West Gardiner, and Gardiner.
