Time to focus on garden maintenance, especially mulch. Mulch is a protective material, organic or inorganic, covering soil around plants to reduce weeds and help maintain uniform moisture conditions in the garden, making it easier to pull weeds that do grow. Mulch also decreases the impact of heavy rain on erosion.
At the recent annual meeting of The Friends of the Belgrade Public Library, the focus was on "exciting news!" A purchase and sale agreement has been signed for a new building site next to the Belgrade Central School in Belgrade Depot!
The Belgrade Lakes Region has a lot going for it: beautiful lakes and mountains, clean waters, some pretty nice people, and a lot of different fish to catch. For some anglers, it's the variety of species available that draws them to the area. One fun way to enjoy a day on the lake is to see how many different kinds of fish you can hook.
