Pine Tree Camp is 60 years old this summer.
Sixty years is a remarkable anniversary for this beautiful camp, one of very few in the nation that provides a residential and fully accessible camp experience to children and young adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
Stately, authentically restored, and impeccably maintained, the unique 18th century Pownalborough Courthouse in Dresden sits on the bank of the Kennebec River. It is a wonderful outing for all ages, not just for the history of the building/museum itself but for the scenic surroundings, the adjoining Nature Trail, and the nearby cemetery, where heroes of the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and the Civil War are buried.
