Storytellers! Entertainment! Rhythm! Stars! During July and August Montessori Mornings at the old Grange Hall in Belgrade has scheduled a Summer Enrichment Series that is open to the community.

Designed to complement the students' learning themes, the Summer Enrichment Series enhances the regular study curriculum.

During July, for example, the students were studying Africa and the Enrichment program included Barbara Gail of the Rhythm Inlet in Mount Vernon who presented "A World of Drums, The Magic of Rhythm," and Jordan Benissan of Togo, Africa, who is a member of the Colby College Music Department, who demonstrated drumming.

The Summer Enrichment Series schedule for August will be:

  • Monday, August 9: Storyteller Desiree Marin, 10:00 a.m., conducts a journey through a variety of tales for children!
  • Monday, August 16: Juggler Zachary Field, 10:00 a.m., blends his talents into a show filled with a variety of skill, humor and just plain fun.
  • Monday, August 23: Children's Entertainer Marcus Gale, 10:30 a.m., an end-of-summer "SO GLAD!" concert for kids of all ages! Tap your toes and sing along!
